Branch Project Grants
Due between July 1 and October 1
A branch seeking a Branch Project Grant shall submit to the chair a proposal in writing, preferably via e-mail, in a format of the branch’s choosing. The project must have an outreach, education or mentoring component. The application, which needs to be submitted between July 1 and October 1, must include:
- Branch name;
- Contact person;
- E-mail and mailing information;
- Project Summary;
- Grand amount being requested;
- Simplified budget of project costs; and
A list of contributors/supporters, if any.
Career Development Grants
Funding: $2,000–$20,000
Opens: August 1 every year
Deadline: November 15 every year
Community Action Grants
Funding: $3,000-$10,000
Opens: August 1 every year
Deadline: December 1 every year
Community Action Grants provide funding to individuals, AAUW branches and AAUW state organizations as well as community-based nonprofits for innovative programs that promote education and equity for women and girls. Since 1972, AAUW has provided support to hundreds of communities across the United States.
