The American Association of University Women (AAUW)

is pleased to announce that the

National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) will take place

May 30 to June 1, 2024

at the

University of Maryland, College Park

The mission of AAUW’s NCCWSL is to foster a moment that ignites a powerful movement. Year after year, the conference brings together hundreds of college women from across the nation for an immersive multi-day experience of leadership training, inspiration, and networking. Through a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) lens, NCCWSL remains committed to ensuring that all attendees feel seen, heard, and celebrated. We strive to create a conference environment that reflects the diversity of our society and values the unique experiences, perspectives, and voices of each participant and cultivate an inclusive culture of understanding, respect, and empowerment.

Conference FAQs

Application for State Scholarship Due: April 1, 2024   Application

The National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) is a transformative experience. The AAUW-NM scholarship pays your early bird registration for the conference, which includes your lodging for two nights and five meals; your lodging for Wednesday night, which is not included in the registration fee; and your Thursday pre-conference activity fee.

Last year’s recipient Liliana Madrid Larrañaga is a current biochemistry and pre-health 2nd-year student at Occidental College in Los Angeles California.  She was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has been a camper as well as a counselor with Tech Trek New Mexico.  This past summer she was funded by AAUW-NM and NCCWSL to attend the 2023 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders.  She is passionate about STEM and women’s health and her dream career is to become a provider and deliver babies in rural New Mexico.
